Our First Lady, Marianne Lyman, passed away on November, 17, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Marianne was born, in Chicago, IL, to Thomas and Helen Small. She graduated from Immaculata High School and attended Mundelein College in Chicago.

She married Bill Lyman in their hometown of Chicago in January of 1950. In 1969, they moved their family to Kansas and made Leawood their home.

Marianne is survived by her children: Joy Cohen (Ken), Tom Lyman (Joan), Tamara Fleming (Dick), Kelly Sieker (Larry), grandchildren: Courtney Craig (Chris), Patrick Cohen...

She married Bill Lyman in their hometown of Chicago in January of 1950. In 1969, they moved their family to Kansas and made Leawood their home.

Marianne is survived by her children: Joy Cohen (Ken), Tom Lyman (Joan), Tamara Fleming (Dick), Kelly Sieker (Larry), grandchildren: Courtney Craig (Chris), Patrick Cohen (Emmie), Bridget and Dan Fleming, Sophia Sieker, great grandchildren; Georgia, Amelia and brother, Dick Small. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents, sister, Lucille and brother, Buddy.

Family was first in Marianne's life, followed by volunteering, traveling, and attending a great party.

Services will be Wednesday, November 30, at Curé of Ars Catholic Church, Leawood, KS. Visitation begins at 9:30 AM, with Mass following at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Catholic Charites of Northeast Kansas.
